European football is at war after the continent absorbed the staggering news that the sport’s most famous football clubs are prepared to break away from UEFA competitions and establish a new European Super League.The Premier League’s self-styled “Big Six” clubs have all agreed in principle to support proposals backed by Italian clubs Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan, in addition to Spain’s Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
