South Sydney get the job done, no surprise. For the Dogs, well, you would have at least hoped they had broken that try-scoring duck but it wasnt to be today. Their finishing really is ordinary, they actually had some chances but just dont have the quality and class to put the end touches on their play. They turned up to play, really ripped in early but when they gave Souths an inch, they took a mile.
The Rabbitohs pretty much coasted today and were never under any real pressure in terms of the result. Thats not to say they didnt have to work hard in patches, because they did, its just that when they had a sniff they scored. When the Dogs had a sniff, not only did they not score but it was often Souths scoring on them almost right away. Even worse news for the Dogs is that they get Melbourne next week before the Cowboys, which they can win perhaps.
Souths are likely to be without Cody Walker though, you would think, with an elbow on Nick Meaney looking as if that will see him having a break on the sidelines. He was brilliant for Souths but that will be costly.
Thanks for joining in, Storm-Broncos to come later on.
