An investigation is under way after a man in his 20s was found dead at a house in Swinford, Co Mayo last night.

An investigation is under way after a man in his 20s was found dead at a house in Swinford, Co Mayo last night.
Gardaí attended the scene after receiving a call at around 10.50pm.
It is believed the victim died as a result of a serious assault.
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene.
The body remains at the scene, which has been preserved for a forensic examination.
The assistance of the State Pathologist has been sought.
Gardaí are urging anyone with information to come forward.
